We offer naturopathic medicine and alternative clinical methods as well as techniques of assessment including Biological Terrain Analysis, Electrodermal Screening, and Darkfield Microscopy.

Diagnostic Testing

The following diagnostic tests assist in determining the factors affecting any imbalances within the body.

Biological Terrain Analysis (BTA)

A "Biological Terrain Assessment", or "BTA", is a laboratory test that provides patients with valuable information about the underlying biochemistry of their bodies. This simple test analyzes small amounts of blood, urine and saliva. It provides data about the current state of the body's building blocks of the body -- enzymes, amino acids, molecules and electrons.
The measured and calculated factors from BTA testing indicate the nature and the processes of the individual's unique biochemistry including:

• The current status and activities of the body's enizymes, amino acids and other building blocks of life
• How enzymatic activity in the body is occurring properly and whether vitamins, minerals, and nutrients are being absorbed or whether they are lacking in the body
• How acidic the system may be
• Demineralization and the process of osteoporosis
• The presence of damaging environmental or industrial contaminants; free radical damage
• Heavy metal toxicity
• The state of oxygen in the system, and the state of damage, degeneration, and aging of the body
• Lack of vitamins and minerals
• Fungal patterns including as of fungal poison
• Bacterial patterns
• Viral patlens
• Intestinal imbalance
• Lymphatic congestion
• Liver function, toxicity and congestion
• Kidney function, toxicity and congestion and ability to concentrate urine

Electrodermal Screening (EDS)

Computerized Electrodermal Screening (EDS) devices are instruments which measure galvanic skin resistance. The process consists of the client holding a brass rod in one hand. Then the practitioner or technician touches a certain point on the body (usually the hand or foot) with a stylus (pen type probe) and a measurement is recorded. It is a resistance measurement procedure that is based on "electrical engineering physics." This process is non-invasive; it does not puncture the skin and does not give shocks.
An Electrodermal Screening device offers a number of options for you. It may be used to screen:

• all the systems, organs and functions of the body, for allergies and sensitivities to foods, plants, animals, environments, inhalants and most anything we meet in our day to day life.
• imbalances in nutritional products such as vitamins, minerals, enzymes, EFAs, proteins, hormones and so on.
• the quality of teeth, dental conditions, dental materials and compatible products.
• sensitivity or weakness to heavy metals, toxic products and pollutants, such as herbicides, pesticides and insecticides.
• for parasites, fungus, yeast, Candida, bacteria, viruses, vaccines, miasms.which remedy(ies) will balance, be it nutritional, herbal, allopathic, homeopathic, gem or flower essence, colour, aroma, to name a few. If it is homeopathic, it will help determine the right potency.

Darkfield Microscopy

Darkfield microscopy uses whole blood from a fingertip placed under the microscope unstained, and uses higher magnification with a darkfield lens and specialized lighting that allows one to see much more than could possibly be seen by conventional and phase contrast microscopes. Many deficiencies, biochemical imbalances or toxicities can be detected by darkfield long before routine lab tests show any problems. Early nutritional intervention through dietary changes, supplementation and homeopathic medicines can then be implemented to prevent disease. A darkfield microscopy can reveal:
